COPAS Membership

 

Become a COPAS member today!

Membership in COPAS is available to any person actively engaged in petroleum and related energy industry accounting or associated services. Memberships are for July through June of each year, and are not prorated.

The following types of membership are available:

Regular - open to all individuals who meet the requirements. Among other benefits, regular members can attend the nine monthly luncheons, at no additional charge.

Regional - open to all qualified individuals whose place of employment is at least 75 miles from Denver (Broadway and Colfax). Regional members receive all benefits, except that they must pay for any monthly meetings they attend.

Your membership provides the following benefits:

Membership in the national COPAS organization -
Includes the national COPAS directory, a listing of the more than 3,000 COPAS members in the United States and Canada and a subscription to the national quarterly publication COPAS Accounts..

Eight monthly luncheon meetings -
Informative and entertaining speakers and a special Christmas luncheon that provides opportunities to network regularly with over 300 Denver area oil and gas accounting professionals. Also included is a subscription to the monthly COPAS-Colorado newsletter with details on upcoming meetings.

Education Day, monthly technical sessions & educational activities -
Provided at the committee level and gives members the opportunity to qualify for as many as 30 hours of CPE at no additional cost. The COPAS Library is accessible to members. Review materials and study sessions for sections of the Accredited Petroleum Accountant (APA) certification program are also available.

Committee Participation -
In any of the 8 standing committees listed under the 'Committee Chairs' section. This is the core of our organization and provides the platform to address both local and national accounting issues within the oil and gas industry. They also provide an excellent opportunity to establish relationships with pro-active members of our industry.
