Natural Gas is in the process of becoming the fuel of the future.   Areas such as Berkeley, California have declared that all new construction will be heated by gas. US shale has provided reserves that are estimated to be able to last more than 130 years. Qatar is reported to have gas reserves equal to Saudi Arabia's oil reserves. The majors have two competing proposals to the State of Alaska to build the Alaska gas pipeline. It's all about natural gas.
